Sparkle Moments – Your Weekend Inspiration: Keep Dreaming

This week’s Sparkle Moment continues with a focus on thankfulness. Once again, I’m happy to have my friend Mar Javierto of ishootBVI grace us with his awe-inspiring photos. If you missed last week’s Sparkle Moment, you can catch it here along with more of Mar’s pictures.

As I jump in, let me ask you a question.

Do you still dream?

What do you do about those dreams that haven’t yet seen the light of day? Do you get discouraged or do you give thanks for the few dreams that have come true?

Over the past week, I was able to spend some time with a dear friend who was in town. I hadn’t seen her for months so it was fun to fill her in on the latest happenings in my life and hear about hers. As I reflect on the stories we shared I see how God was faithfully working through all the events in our lives. Realising this encouraged me to keep dreaming.

We know that life isn’t always going to go the way we expect but we can give thanks for the little and BIG mercies. And keep our dreams alive.

My encouragement for you this weekend is to keep dreaming and watch God work. You have your own amazing story to tell!

What is a Sparkle Moment? 

• Living in the Caribbean, I am fortunate to be surrounded by amazing beauty. I get to see beautiful sunsets, bright blue skies, sparkling blue waters, and white sandy beaches, almost everyday. Enjoying God’s creation is pure SPARKLE, no matter what part of the world you live in.
• Every now and again there are those little everyday moments when something special happens. A butterfly pauses long enough for the camera shutter, a little girl dances in the rain, someone says a kind word that lifts your spirits…ahhh…SPARKLE!
• On the flip side, we have some days when there’s no sun, no shine. It’s a plain and gloomy day until we create our own sparkle.  Sometimes a pick-me-up is what we need! When we choose to add our own beauty, those moments can SPARKLE too.

Sparkle Moments come in all shapes and sizes, but one thing’s for sure, they make our hearts sing!
