3 Sure-Fire Ways to Glow — The Face of an Angel (Part 2)

by Marva | Sun Sparkle Shine

Last week, I had the honour of sharing my sister with you as she guest-posted about Failing to Shine and ways we can reflect God’s glory.

This week, Carlie continues by sharing some practical ways that we can shine in our day to day lives.

Please welcome her!

Ever wondered how you can shine brightly for Christ? Follow these 3 practical tips to reflect God's glory. Now go ahead and get your glow on!

As a lamp magnifies the light within, so as followers of Christ, we are called to magnify Christ by our lives. We do not live as those without hope, and it is how we manage minor, grating annoyances or major life crises that serve to either point to or away from our living hope.

Sometimes, if you are like me, we fail to shine for Christ. In Part 1, we looked at two possible reasons we miss the mark in the dark places of our lives.

But there is more to the story.

Thankfully, God will never reject a broken and repentant heart, and when we seek Him, he gladly empowers us to light up the darkness.

God gladly empowers us to light up the darkness. #spreadtheshine

But how do we do it? How do we live so that Christ appears big and our lives shine brightly for Him — even in the dark?

The answers, found throughout God’s word, are refreshingly simple. In fact, you may balk at their simplicity, and wonder, ‘Is that really all there is to it?’ But friends, these three ways are clear and unmistakable yet profoundly powerful when lived out in a Christ-centered, Holy Spirit-filled life. If you choose to follow them you will shine forth as gold.

Follow me over to Carlie’s blog to read the rest of 3 Sure-fire Ways to Glow in the Dark Places and her 3 tips on shining for Christ.

If you missed Part 1 you can find it here.

What about you?

How do you reflect God’s glory on a daily basis?

Wishing you blessings,

Reflecting God’s glory on a daily basis – my answer: prayer first, and remember the words, what would Jesus do when facing times where my flesh wants to take over.

So true, Michelle, in that very moment where I want to do my own thing, I can ask myself, ‘what would Jesus do instead?’. That would make the world of difference, wouldn’t it? And of course, prayer will certainly put things in the right perspective.
Thanks for sharing your wisdom and for being a constant encourager. You sparkle!

I’ve been living this the last couple of weeks. Very ugly experience at work where I could have been bitter and hateful. But God helped me and gave me strength. I’m no angel, I’m weak, but I’m dependent on the Lord. He’s enough.

Debbie, I’m so thankful for God’s grace in your life and that you are depending on Him. He certainly is enough!
By the way, ‘enough’ is my one word for the year and I’m constantly learning that He is more than! He is more than enough for you too!

Hi Marva. I certainly have had to live this out the last few weeks. I’ve had a tough span at my job. I could have been ugly and bitter. But God has been my strength and help. He’s always there if only we would seek Him. It’s when I go my own way that I get into trouble.
