“This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.”
― Elizabeth I Tudor
Every morning when the sun rises, I’m reminded of God’s faithfulness.
Every morning, God does a new thing.
Do you not see it?
Do you not perceive it?
In Isaiah 43:18-19, God points Isaiah’s eyes to the future. “Do not look back”, he says. “Look forward to the new thing I am doing.”
Now that we’re at the end of November, it might be tempting to look back at 2015 and think of all the things that went wrong or the dreams that didn’t come true. Well, my friends, I am here to tell you to open your eyes and look ahead. November is your new, New Year. (If you don’t believe me, read about it here).
As we wrap up Thanksgiving week, I encourage you to look around and find the little blessings (and the big ones). See what God has been doing in your life. Look at all the ways He’s made a path for you. Look around at creation. Pause and consider the simple pleasures in life.
Allow these images to inspire you and remind you of God’s faithfulness.
He is doing a new thing, my friend. Open your eyes and be amazed!

About Sparkle Moments
Here at Sparkle Moments I enjoy sharing little glimpses of sparkle with you. This is where I reflect on my week and remember how awesome our God is. Consider this your weekend inspiration — that jumping off point that encourages you to enjoy a weekend that sparkles!
What is a Sparkle Moment?
- Living in the Caribbean, I am fortunate to be surrounded by amazing beauty. I get to see beautiful sunsets, bright blue skies, sparkling blue waters, and white sandy beaches, almost everyday. Enjoying God’s creation is pure SPARKLE, no matter what part of the world you live in.
- Every now and again there are those little everyday moments when something special happens. A butterfly pauses long enough for the camera shutter, a little girl dances in the rain, someone says a kind word that lifts your spirits…ahhh…SPARKLE!
- On the flip side, we have some days when there’s no sun, no shine. It’s a plain and gloomy day until we create our own sparkle. Sometimes a pick-me-up is what we need! When we choose to add our own beauty, those moments can SPARKLE too.
Sparkle Moments come in all shapes and sizes, but one thing’s for sure, they make our hearts sing!

This is such a great reminder. I have been guilty of looking at all the things I didn’t get done in 2015 that I had hoped to accomplish. Thank you for sharing these encouraging words.

Crystal, I’m with you on that one. Regret can quite easily sneak in and steal our joy but we can decide to move forward in hope. Here’s wishing you a strong finish for 2015 and a bright new year!
